Fighting stage 3 ovarian cancer: help Daniel afford treatment in Lagos
Daniel is facing stage 3 ovarian cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.
🇳🇬 Lagos, Nigeria383 views
Daniel was diagnosed with stage 3 ovarian cancer in August. The oncology team at Lagos Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in October. He will be away from work for about 4 weeks.
Daniel is 26, worked as a construction supervisor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Lagos Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $700 goes:
• Scans and lab work: $220
• Household costs while unable to work: $260
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $105
• Transport to Lagos Regional Medical Center: $115
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.
