Şule was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer in December. The oncology team at Üsküdar Regional Medical Center has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in April. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Şule is 37, worked as a construction supervisor until December, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Üsküdar Regional Medical Center 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,950 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $150
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $2,350
• Household costs while unable to work: $340
• Transport to Üsküdar Regional Medical Center: $110
