Fighting prostate cancer: help Yuna afford treatment in Setagaya
6 rounds of treatment are planned at Setagaya Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.
🇯🇵 Tokyo, Japan1,731 views
Yuna was diagnosed with prostate cancer in September. The oncology team at Setagaya Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in October. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Yuna is 29, worked as a taxi driver until September, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Setagaya Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $7,800 goes:
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $4,900
• Scans and lab work: $510
• Transport to Setagaya Cancer Centre: $510
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $560
• Household costs while unable to work: $1,320
Thanks for reading all this.

Sending good thoughts. This could happen to any of us. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected!
thanks for sharing this. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. My neighbor in Toronto donated after I showed her your page. God bless.
