Fighting prostate cancer: help Haile afford treatment in Mekelle
12 rounds of treatment are planned at Mekelle Cancer Centre; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Haile was diagnosed with prostate cancer in February. The oncology team at Mekelle Cancer Centre has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in May. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Haile is 38, worked as a nurse until February, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Mekelle Cancer Centre 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,200 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $165
• Transport to Mekelle Cancer Centre: $145
• Scans and lab work: $75
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $815
I hope life is good to you.
