Ximena is facing multiple myeloma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Los Angeles
Ximena was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in August. The oncology team at Los Angeles University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks. Ximena is 24, worked as a shop owner until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Los Angeles University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $8,100 goes: • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $560 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $7,000 • Transport to Los Angeles University Hospital: $540 Whatever you can give, even just sharing this page, means a lot.
