Fighting multiple myeloma: help Helene afford treatment in Regensburg

Helene was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in March. The oncology team at Regensburg Cancer Centre has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Helene is 44, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Regensburg Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $8,000 goes:
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $320
• Scans and lab work: $700
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $6,500
• Transport to Regensburg Cancer Centre: $480
