Metz
Aminata was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in March. The oncology team at Metz Regional Medical Center has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Aminata is 47, worked as a nurse until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Metz Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $6,650 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,650 • Scans and lab work: $970 • Transport to Metz Regional Medical Center: $920 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $240 • Household costs while unable to work: $870 With deep gratitude, Modou

Updates from Modou

  1. Small update. $2,441 so far, the plan for household costs while unable to work is now scheduled.

  2. Good news. Because of your gifts ($1,991 in total) I made the first payment toward scans and lab work. Still a way to go but it feels less lonely.

  3. We're at 16% thanks to 20 of you. the plan for nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team is now scheduled. More news soon.
