Alexandre was diagnosed with multiple myeloma in May. The oncology team at the Bordeaux Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in August. He will be away from work for about 10 weeks. Alexandre is 56, worked as a nurse until May, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Bordeaux Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders.
