Fighting kidney cancer: help Vinod afford treatment in Mumbai
Vinod is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

In August I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. My oncology team at Mumbai University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in October. I was told to expect about 4 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 36, I worked as a farmer until August, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to Mumbai University Hospital 5 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $350 goes:
• Household costs while unable to work: $220
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $90
• Transport to Mumbai University Hospital: $40

It's all in the list in the story. household costs while unable to work is the big one at $220, I'll post a receipt when it's paid. Thanks for looking so closely.
