Bandung
Okta was diagnosed with kidney cancer in April. The oncology team at Bandung University Hospital has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in August. She will be away from work for about 4 weeks. Okta is 47, worked as a hairdresser until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Bandung University Hospital 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $1,300 goes: • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $1,100 • Household costs while unable to work: $130 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $70 Glad we found this place.
