Fighting kidney cancer: help Mónica afford treatment in Zapopan
Mónica is facing kidney cancer and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Mónica was diagnosed with kidney cancer in August. The oncology team at the Zapopan Oncology Institute has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Mónica is 58, worked as a tailor until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Zapopan Oncology Institute 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.

• Scans and lab work: $270
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $130
• Household costs while unable to work: $550

Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. scans and lab work comes first ($270) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Fair thing to want to know.
