Qasim was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma in October. The oncology team at the Lahore Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, starting in December. He will be away from work for about 7 weeks. Qasim is 24, worked as a cleaner at a hospital until October, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Lahore Oncology Institute 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $800 goes: • Transport to the Lahore Oncology Institute: $85 • Scans and lab work: $90 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $40 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $585 Thanks for being kind about this.
