Fighting early-stage lung cancer: help Addison afford treatment in San Diego
10 rounds of treatment are planned at San Diego Regional Medical Center; we're asking for help with the costs insurance doesn't cover.

Addison was diagnosed with early-stage lung cancer in August. The oncology team at San Diego Regional Medical Center has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in November. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Addison is 36, worked as a bakery worker until August, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to San Diego Regional Medical Center 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $6,150 goes:
• Transport to San Diego Regional Medical Center: $580
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $640
• Scans and lab work: $1,000
• Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $3,930
