Fighting colon cancer: help Jonathan afford treatment in Ho
Supporting Jonathan through colon cancer: medication, transport to the Ho Oncology Institute, and living costs while He can't work.
🇬🇭 Ho, Volta, Ghana1,143 views
In May I was diagnosed with colon cancer. My oncology team at the Ho Oncology Institute has planned 12 rounds of treatment, and the first starts in August. I was told to expect about 10 weeks away from work.
I never imagined I'd be writing something like this. I'm 54, I worked as a hairdresser until May, and I have been the main earner for my household.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, transport to the Ho Oncology Institute 4 times a week, and the income I have lost add up quickly.
My family is doing everything they can, but we've already sold what we could and are borrowing for groceries.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $550 goes:
• Transport to the Ho Oncology Institute: $110
• Scans and lab work: $220
• Household costs while unable to work: $220
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

Thinking of you and your family, Jonathan. I hope things turn around soon. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. All the best

is transport to the Ho Oncology Institute the biggest cost or is there more coming?

Sending strength, Jonathan. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. My neighbor had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Ho!

Sending good thoughts, Jonathan. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it.
Hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless
