Emma was diagnosed with colon cancer in March. The oncology team at Dundee Regional Medical Center has planned 4 rounds of treatment, starting in May. She will be away from work for about 10 weeks.
Emma is 25, worked as a bus conductor until March, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Dundee Regional Medical Center 3 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment.
Where the $2,150 goes:
• Transport to Dundee Regional Medical Center: $740
• Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $490
• Scans and lab work: $920
