Amir was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia in July. The oncology team at Cairo Cancer Centre has planned 6 rounds of treatment, starting in September. He will be away from work for about 8 weeks. Amir is 58, worked as a nurse until July, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after him. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Cairo Cancer Centre 2 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off his shoulders. I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes. Where the $750 goes: • Scans and lab work: $110 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $580 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $60 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.
