Jimma
Kidist was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in April. The oncology team at Jimma University Hospital has planned 10 rounds of treatment, starting in July. She will be away from work for about 6 weeks. Kidist is 36, worked as a shop owner until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her. Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to Jimma University Hospital 4 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly. We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders. Funds will be used only for treatment, medication, transport to appointments and essential living costs during treatment. Where the $1,150 goes: • Transport to Jimma University Hospital: $70 • Nutrition and supplements prescribed by the care team: $80 • Chemotherapy and medication not covered: $840 • Scans and lab work: $160 If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people. - Sosina
