Fighting a rare sarcoma: help Giovana afford treatment in Campinas
Giovana is facing a rare sarcoma and the cost of treatment, travel and care at home is far beyond what the family can cover.

Giovana was diagnosed with a rare sarcoma in April. The oncology team at the Campinas Oncology Institute has planned 8 rounds of treatment, starting in June. She will be away from work for about 3 weeks.
Giovana is 56, worked as a construction supervisor until April, and has always been the one who looks after everyone else. Now it's our turn to look after her.
Treatment is covered only in part. Medication that isn't on the approved list, trips to the Campinas Oncology Institute 5 times a week, and the income the family has lost add up quickly.
We've already sold what we could and have begun borrowing for groceries. Every kindness from you takes weight off her shoulders.
I'll post every invoice and receipt as an update so donors can follow where each gift goes.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Transport to the Campinas Oncology Institute: $185
• Household costs while unable to work: $490
• Scans and lab work: $575
