Festus's final semester of a teaching qualification in Benin City
A first-generation student, Festus needs help covering tuition for the final stretch of a teaching qualification.

Festus is the first person in the family to go to university. He is studying a teaching qualification at Benin City Polytechnic, and is one term away from graduating. He has worked as a library assistant to pay the way, but this term the hours were cut and there's an unpaid balance of $400.
The registrar has said Festus can't enroll for the next term until the balance is cleared. Festus has a first-class average, and an academic advisor has written in support.
Graduating means a stable job and the chance to support the younger siblings. Without enrolling this term Festus would lose his place and scholarship eligibility.
Festus isn't asking for a handout - He wants to finish what He started and help the next student.
The payment will go directly to the Benin City Polytechnic bursar's office. I'll post the receipt.
Where the $400 goes:
• Outstanding tuition balance: $145
• Final term tuition: $240
• Textbooks and materials: $15
Glad we found this place.

Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. This is the second need I've supported on here and the first that made me cry. Thinking of Benin City.
Take care, Abubakar. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. All the best
Good luck, Abubakar. Shared it with a few friends!
This could happen to any of us. My father had a similar thing happen so this one hit home. Thinking of Benin City.
As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. After 6 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
