Austin
For three years I have run a neighborhood bakery in Austin. In April, a fire in the building took a commercial oven. I have no insurance, and the bank won't lend to me. Before that, my customers came every Wednesday, and I employed 2 people from the neighborhood. I have been out of business for 5 weeks. This business pays my children's school fees and rent. I have already started working from home in small ways, but I can't meet orders without proper equipment. Every contribution brings me closer to reopening, and I promise to post photos as I buy each item. I'll buy equipment from local suppliers and post photos and receipts as I go. Where the $3,250 goes: • Initial stock: flour, butter and sugar: $850 • Working capital for the first month: $680 • Replacing a commercial oven: $1,720 Thank you so much.

Take care, Fernanda. Hope you make a strong comeback. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected. Love from Bogotá.
