Feed 97 families each week at the Harvest Pantry in Kyoto
Help keep a free food pantry open for families and seniors in Kyoto.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Monday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 18 families, and now we feed 97 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 60% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 7 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Kyoto market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,250 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Baby formula and diapers: $420
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $630
If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Hope things get better soon, Himari. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did.
Hope things get better soon. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double.
Hang in there. Your post was clear and honest. Please keep us posted. Greetings from Brampton
Sending strength, Himari. Shared it with a few friends. Our whole street has been following this since the weekend. God bless.
Keep going, Himari. This could happen to any of us. We're a small family in Kikuyu but we're thinking of you
Thinking of you and your family, Himari. Shared this with my family. Don't give up. Thinking of Kyoto.
