Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Open Hands Pantry every Sunday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 277 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 35% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 13 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Nuremberg market and keep every receipt.
Each $25 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $2,650 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,400
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $470
• Baby formula and diapers: $500
• Refrigeration and electricity: $280
Every share and every dollar helps.

So sorry you're going through this, David. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too.
Stay strong, David. Shared it with a few friends. I'll check back for the next update. God bless!
Wishing you peace, David. Hope this works out for you. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. God bless.
