Feed 243 families each week at Community Pantry in Ann Arbor
The Community Pantry pantry in Ann Arbor is running low just as demand rises; $2,500 will stock it for 8 weeks.

Since 2022, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Wednesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 243 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 32% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 19 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Ann Arbor market and keep every receipt.
Each $40 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $2,500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,200
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $600
• Baby formula and diapers: $320
• Refrigeration and electricity: $380
