Feed 236 families each week at Bread & Beans Kitchen in Gangnam
The Bread & Beans Kitchen pantry in Gangnam is running low just as demand rises; $1,400 will stock it for 6 weeks.

Since 2019, our volunteer team has run Bread & Beans Kitchen every Sunday from the back of a community center. We started with 20 families, and now we feed 236 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 39% this school holidays, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 9 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Gangnam market and keep every receipt.
Each $20 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,400 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $450
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $350
• Baby formula and diapers: $350
• Refrigeration and electricity: $250
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Thinking of you, Su-bin. This could happen to any of us. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too
Is there anything that isn't money that would help Su-bin?
Looking forward to the next update. I hope October is when things finally get easier. God bless
Rooting for you, Su-bin. More neighborhoods should do this
Hope things get better soon, Su-bin. I hope things turn around soon. Blessings.
