Since 2020, our volunteer team has run Community Pantry every Tuesday from the back of a school canteen. We started with 13 families, and now we feed 228 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 33% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Birmingham market and keep every receipt.
Each $35 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $1,950 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $850
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $670
• Baby formula and diapers: $310
• Refrigeration and electricity: $120
Even a small gift gets used right away and I'll thank you myself.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Shawn
Everything on the list is an amount I've been quoted or invoiced. rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale) comes first ($850) and I'll update the page as each thing gets paid. Appreciate you taking the time.
Hope you get there. Wish I lived closer to Bekasi so I could bring a meal. Blessings!
