Feed 205 families each week at the Sunday Shelf in San Jose
The the Sunday Shelf pantry in San Jose is running low just as demand rises; $3,200 will stock it for 9 weeks.

Since 2021, our volunteer team has run the Sunday Shelf every Friday from the back of a borrowed garage. We started with 10 families, and now we feed 205 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 44% this harvest gap, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 20 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the San Jose market and keep every receipt.
Each $45 feeds a family of four for a week.
All of the funds go to groceries, fresh produce, and cold-storage costs.
Where the $3,200 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $1,400
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $1,450
• Baby formula and diapers: $200
• Refrigeration and electricity: $150
