Feed 204 families each week at the Harvest Pantry in Mumbai
Help keep a free food pantry open for elderly neighbors in Mumbai.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Monday from the back of a community center. We started with 8 families, and now we feed 204 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 54% this summer, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 12 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Mumbai market and keep every receipt.
Each $5 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $350 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $240
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
• Refrigeration and electricity: $45
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Sending good thoughts. Shared this with my family. Love from Ciudad de México.
Wishing you peace. Shared it with a few friends. After 14 years in construction I know how hard it's to ask for anything. All the best.
So sorry you're going through this. Projects like this are what make a place worth living in. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day.
Take care, Kirit. Hope you get there. God bless
