Help keep a free food pantry open for students and shift workers in Jakarta.

Since 2020, our volunteer team has run the Harvest Pantry every Friday from the back of the old library basement. We started with 23 families, and now we feed 126 each week.
Donations have dropped by about 34% this winter, while the line has grown every single week.
We rely on volunteers - 17 of us - and keep no salaries or overhead. I buy staples at wholesale prices at the Jakarta market and keep every receipt.
Each $10 feeds a family of four for a week.
I'll post the weekly shopping receipts and a photo of the shelves each Sunday.
Where the $500 goes:
• Rice, beans, flour and oil (wholesale): $280
• Fresh vegetables and fruit: $125
• Baby formula and diapers: $65
• Refrigeration and electricity: $30
Every share and every dollar helps.

Hope it all works out, Maya. Shared this with my family. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Love from Cali.
