Seo-jun, my grandfather, passed away on 29 December after a sudden heart attack. He was 91 years old. He was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $2,800 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 8 January.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Seo-jun to have a dignified farewell.
Any help at all means a lot, and so do your prayers.
Anything left over after the funeral will be donated to a neighborhood youth program.
Where the $2,800 goes:
• Funeral home services and casket: $2,300
• Transport of the deceased: $260
• Memorial gathering for the family: $240
