Evelyn, my grandmother, passed away on 18 September after complications from pneumonia. She was 63 years old. She was the heart of our family and had no savings or life insurance.
The funeral home has given us a quote of $1,700 and the cemetery needs payment before the burial date of 29 September.
I have already used what I had for the hospital bills. My family is scattered, and many of us are out of work. We want Evelyn to have a dignified farewell.
