I'm eight weeks into recovery from alcohol dependence. I attend meetings and see a counselor, but the weeks between meetings are the hardest. I'd love a mentor - someone who has a year or more of recovery and who would be willing to talk once a week. I'm not looking for a replacement for treatment. I'm looking for someone who understands what a bad Tuesday night feels like. I'd prefer someone who's happy to do video calls. Any country is fine. I'll be respectful of your time and boundaries, and happy to pay it forward later. Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

  • Take care, Farah. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. We're a small family in Cape Coast but we're thinking of you. Love from Cape Coast.

    • Take care, Farah. It takes guts to ask. Well done. Take care.

      • Good luck, Farah. Shared it with a few friends. We're a small family in Colorado Springs but we're thinking of you. Blessings.

        • Sending good thoughts, Farah. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. God bless

          • Good luck, Farah. I hope things turn around soon. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too.
