My son Ibrahim has been accepted for treatment at the Kaduna Cancer Centre in Kaduna, starting on Saturday in September. We live 455 km away in a rural district, and hotel costs would use up what we have set aside for the treatment itself. We're looking for a room, granny flat or short-term rental within about 30 minutes of the hospital, for 5 weeks. Two of us would stay: Ibrahim and me. We can contribute $15 a week and cook for the household if you'd like. Ibrahim will have some immune precautions, so a clean, smoke-free place would be ideal. A kitchen is a bonus. Thank you. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • So sorry you're going through this, Babatunde. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. After 23 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Greetings from Accra.

    • Sending strength, Babatunde. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Don't give up. Take care.

      • Thinking of you and your family. I work in healthcare and wanted you to know people are on your side. I'm in engineering myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Take care.
