My daughter, Zoya, is 15 and in Year 10. Zoya loves school but English writing has been a struggle since the school was closed during the strikes. The university entrance exam is in September. We can't afford a private tutor, and the school's free sessions are full. We're looking for a volunteer who could spend an hour or two a week, in person in Karachi or online, for about ten weeks. Zoya is polite, hardworking and eager. We have a quiet space and a laptop for online sessions. I'll always be at home for in-person sessions. If you're a teacher, student or professional who feels comfortable in English writing, you could change the course of Zoya's year. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

  • Take care. This could happen to any of us. Wish I lived closer to Saint-Denis so I could bring a meal. Thinking of Karachi.

    • Stay strong, Laiba. Your post was clear and honest. I'm in farming myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Greetings from Shubra.
