Emiliano's school year: uniform, books and a laptop
Emiliano won a place at the Veracruz Selective School but the family can't afford the uniform, books and laptop required.

I earned a place in Grade 9 at the Veracruz Selective School, and I couldn't be prouder. The school has a long list of things I need, including a laptop for the coding course, and a uniform.
My mother works two jobs, and the list costs $250, which is more than we have.
I love coding and want to become a teacher. A laptop will let me do coursework at home instead of waiting for library hours.
I'll take care of everything you give me and I promise to work hard.
I'll buy the items from the school's approved supplier and post photos of everything.
Where the $250 goes:
• Laptop: $125
• School uniform and shoes: $60
• Textbooks and workbooks: $50
• Calculator, stationery and a school bag: $15
Thanks for being kind about this.

Updates from Emiliano
Thank you all. We're at 22% now ($56). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the school supplier and confirmed the amounts.

Thinking of you and your family. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Radom.
sending good thoughts, Emiliano. This could happen to any of us. Thinking of Veracruz.
Stay strong, Emiliano. Hope you get there. I went through something like this 8 years ago and strangers helped me out. Take care.
