Emiliano needs my tuk-tuk repaired to get back to work in Salem
Without my tuk-tuk Emiliano cannot work; a $1,300 repair would put him back on the road.
🇺🇸 Salem, Oregon, United States2,909 views
I make my living with my tuk-tuk. 4 weeks ago the gearbox failed, and the mechanic says the repair will cost $1,300. Without the vehicle I earn nothing.
I have been borrowing from friends to pay rent, and now I have run out of people to ask.
I support my two daughters and my mother. Before the breakdown I worked nine hours a day, six days a week. I have been offered extra shifts for the next four months if I can just get the vehicle working.
I have a written estimate from a certified mechanic and will upload it here.
All money will go toward the parts and labor on the estimate, with a small amount for road tax and insurance renewal.
Where the $1,300 goes:
• gearbox replacement (parts): $760
• Labor charges: $360
• Road tax and insurance renewal: $135
• Towing and inspection: $45
I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

I hope things turn around soon. After 25 years in teaching I know how hard it's to ask for anything. Take care
I'd happily buy from you once you're back up. Love from Bhopal.
