Emilia can't leave home - help build a ramp
Help Emilia regain independence: a simple ramp build.
🇦🇺 New South Wales, Australia1,441 views
Emilia has used a wheelchair since 2024, and the house has three steps at the front door and no ramp. At the moment Emilia can only go outside when two neighbors are available to lift the chair.
The materials (treated timber, screws and non-slip surface) have been donated by a local lumberyard. We need a carpenter or two to measure, cut and build, plus a helper or two.
The ramp has to meet the local accessibility standard of 1:12 slope, which is why a person with building experience is important. We estimate six hours of work.
Tools are welcome - saws, drills, spirit levels. We'll provide refreshments, and Emilia's family will cook lunch for the team.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Thanks for sharing this. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 16 years in accounting I know how hard it's to ask for anything.
Hope it all works out. Shared it with a few friends. My neighbor in Glasgow donated after I showed her your page. Blessings.
