Emergency vet bill for Nala in Bahir Dar
A three-legged dog named Nala needs emergency surgery - a $300 bill the family cannot cover.
🇪🇹 Ethiopia1,527 views
Nala is my three-legged dog of thirteen years. On 11 January we rushed to Bahir Dar Animal Hospital with pyometra. The vet recommends emergency surgery, and the estimate came to $300.
They have stabilized Nala, but the treatment can't wait beyond March.
Nala is more than a pet - Nala got me through my hardest year. I have already put $15 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
If more is raised than needed, the surplus goes to Bahir Dar Animal Hospital's charity fund for other animals.
Where the $300 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $180
• Hospitalization (2 nights): $55
• Medication and follow-up visits: $15
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $50
