Emergency vet bill for Mocha in Los Angeles
Mocha, Henry's tabby kitten, needs urgent treatment for bloat costing $1,250.

Mocha is my tabby kitten of eleven years. On 13 September we rushed to the Los Angeles Emergency Vet Clinic with bloat. The vet recommends a hospital stay and surgery, and the estimate came to $1,250.
They have stabilized Mocha, but the treatment can't wait beyond December.
Mocha is more than a pet - Mocha is a retired therapy animal who has comforted dozens of patients. I have already put $155 toward the bills and asked for a payment plan.
Whatever I can't raise, I'll repay to anyone who needs it back.
Funds will be paid straight to the Los Angeles Emergency Vet Clinic and I'll share the invoice and an update on Mocha's recovery.
Where the $1,250 goes:
• Emergency surgery: $850
• Medication and follow-up visits: $260
• Diagnostics (X-ray, bloodwork): $140
