Electricity shut-off notice: help Mauricio pay $900
A disconnection notice for electricity arrived and Mauricio needs $900 before March.
🇺🇸 Anaheim, California, United States797 views
The electricity account is 3 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on March unless I pay $900. I have never been late before losing my job in January.
I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $75 first, which I don't have.
I live with three children under ten, and going through summer without electricity isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $900 goes:
• Gas arrears: $530
• Reconnection and late fees: $140
• Down payment on a payment plan: $230
Thank you so much.
