The electricity account is 4 months behind. I received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on June unless I pay $700. I have never been late before my partner leaving the household. I called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $115 first, which I don't have. I live with three children under ten, and going through winter without electricity isn't safe. We would also lose the ability to run the medical equipment at home. I'm working on getting back on my feet, and will pay forward whatever help I can once I'm steady. The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here. Where the $700 goes: • Utility arrears: $520 • Reconnection and late fees: $60 • Down payment on a payment plan: $120 I'll pay this kindness forward the moment I'm able to.

Updates from Amit

Thank you all. We're at 36% now ($250). I'm honestly stunned. I met with the utility company and confirmed the amounts.
Update from London: we've started the first stage. We're at 9% of the goal. Thank you for believing in us.
