Electricity and water shut-off notice: help Natalia pay $250
Natalia is behind on electricity and water bills after April's medical emergency and needs $250 to avoid a shut-off.

The electricity and water account is 2 months behind. Natalia received a disconnection notice that says service will be cut off on July unless $250 is paid. She had never been late before April's medical emergency.
Natalia called the provider and asked about a payment plan, but they need a down payment of $35 first, which isn't available.
The household includes a newborn, and going through the rainy season without electricity and water isn't safe. Without it we can't refrigerate insulin and food, or keep the house at a safe temperature.
Natalia is working on getting back on her feet, and wants to pay it forward once steady.
The money will go directly to the utility provider, and I'll post the paid statement here.
Where the $250 goes:
• Water arrears: $165
• Reconnection and late fees: $35
• Down payment on a payment plan: $50

Thinking of you. I hope your landlord gives you a bit more time while this comes together. Put this on a community board in Colombo this morning. All the best.
hang in there, Anton. Shared this with my family. We had a similar scare last year, I know what it feels like. God bless
