Easton needs a lift to Nottingham General Hospital - can you help one day a week?

Could you drive Easton to Nottingham General Hospital on Saturday? A rota of 3 drivers is forming.

Easton has been on dialysis for 5 years and until recently drove to Nottingham General Hospital alone. After surgery on their hand, Easton can no longer drive. Taxis cost more than the family can pay three times a week. We're building a rota of volunteer drivers. Each session is 3 hours, including the trip there and back; most volunteers take one regular day. The journey is about 13 km each way. Easton is cheerful company. You'd need a car in good condition and a clean driving record. We'll cover your fuel costs, and the family will send you home with homemade food. Please say which day works for you in the comments. I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

  • Thinking of you. Hope you get there. I have a 6 year old who wants to send good wishes too

    • Thinking of you. Look after yourselves too, caregivers need rest. Thinking of Nottingham.

      • Praying for you. Wishing Easton a smooth procedure and a full recovery. After 15 years in hospitality I know how hard it's to ask for anything. God bless.

        • Thinking of you and your family, Eva. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Don't lose heart. A few weeks ago I was in a hole too and it changed faster than I expected
