Earthquake in San Nicolás de los Garza: help the Lakeview settlement rebuild
The earthquake damaged 76 homes in the Lakeview settlement. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The earthquake hit the Lakeview settlement on 4 March. My home was one of 76 damaged, and 10 families are still in temporary shelter at the local school gym.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $2,200 goes:
• Roofing sheets and timber: $580
• Clean water and purification supplies: $165
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $340
• Food parcels for displaced families: $370
• Tools and labor for repairs: $745
Glad we found this place.

is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Gerardo.
Sure. The biggest one is roofing sheets and timber, $580. The rest is in the list at the bottom of the post and I'll upload receipts as I pay each one. It helps to be asked.
Sending strength. Hope this works out for you. Wish I lived closer to Ottawa so I could bring a meal
hang in there, Gerardo. Shared this with my family.
