Earthquake in Karachi: help the families of Old Town Lane rebuild
The earthquake damaged 90 homes in the families of Old Town Lane. We're raising funds for repairs, supplies and temporary shelter.

The earthquake hit the families of Old Town Lane on 13 August. My home was one of 90 damaged, and 13 families are still in temporary shelter at a mosque and church hall.
The first few days we shared what little we had. Now the cleanup has started, but we've no money for materials and winter or the rainy season is coming.
Schools in the area have been closed, and the clinic lost its cold storage for vaccines. We're a small community of working families who have never asked for help before.
We have formed a volunteer committee, and I'm the treasurer, so I'll post receipts for everything we buy.
Funds go to building materials, water purification supplies, bedding, and food for families still in shelters.
Where the $750 goes:
• Bedding, blankets and mattresses: $125
• Clean water and purification supplies: $70
• Roofing sheets and timber: $350
• Food parcels for displaced families: $205
Ask me anything below before you decide. I'd rather you were sure.

Sending strength, Salman. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes. Thinking of Karachi
Is there a list of costs somewhere? Just curious how it adds up for Salman.
Bedding, blankets and mattresses is $125 of it. Everything else is listed in the story and nothing outside that list comes out of this page. Thanks for asking.
sending strength, Salman. Hope this works out for you. Greetings from Luxor.
Sending love. Reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. After 9 years in farming I know how hard it's to ask for anything
Sending good thoughts, Salman. Everyone deserves a bit of help sometimes.
