I'm Dorcas, 17, in Form 6. My parents work long hours and didn't go to university, so there's no one at home who can help me understand applications, deadlines or financial aid. I'd like to study civil engineering.
I have a 3.9 average, I volunteer at an after-school program and I have a draft of my personal statement. What I need is someone to read my essays, tell me honestly what's weak, and explain how scholarships work.
I'm looking for an hour a week until November. We can do it by video from anywhere. My mother will be at home during every call, and the school counselor knows about this request.
Thanks for reading. It took me a long time to ask.
I hope life is good to you.

Hang in there, Dorcas. It takes guts to ask. Well done. God bless!
Good luck. Good luck with the exams, you've got this. Put this on a community board in Durham this morning.
I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Put this on a community board in Nashik this morning. Take care.
Hang in there. As a teacher I love seeing someone work this hard to learn. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. Thinking of Embakasi!
Rooting for you, Dorcas. Education changes everything, hope you graduate with honors. I'm in customer support myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you!
