I coordinate donations at the Acacia Mosque in Birmingham. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Birmingham, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at the Acacia Mosque on Tuesday between 10am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the the Acacia Mosque clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Thanks for being kind about this.

Hope it all works out. I hope things turn around soon. Wish I lived closer to Nashik so I could bring a meal. Love from Iztapalapa.
hope things get better soon. A secure home matters so much. Hope you're settled soon. I hope November is when things finally get easier. God bless.
Sending good thoughts, Willow. Gave what I could, wish it was more. The breakdown of costs made it easy to trust. Love from Kano.
Take care, Willow. Hope this works out for you. It's not much but it's yours. Love from Laredo
