I coordinate donations at Union Refugee Centre in Sheffield. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes 4-12. If you're in Sheffield, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Union Refugee Centre on Friday between 10am and 4pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Union Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
Please ask me anything in the questions section. I'll answer honestly and quickly.

Hang in there. Your post was clear and honest. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. God bless.
Hope it all works out, Walker. Gave what I could, wish it was more. Read this on the bus and kept thinking about it all day. Blessings
