I coordinate donations at Lotus Refugee Centre in Salem. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled. We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Salem, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Lotus Refugee Centre on Friday between 9am and 3pm. If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate. Items go to families directly and the rest to the Lotus Refugee Centre clothing bank, which is open to everyone. If you can't give, please share this page. It does reach people.

Gave what I could, wish it was more. Put this on a community board in Novosibirsk this morning.

      • Wishing you peace. Rent stress is the worst. Hope this helps. I told my book club about it and three of them are giving too. All the best.
