I coordinate donations at Lotus Women's Shelter in Knoxville. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Knoxville, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Lotus Women's Shelter on Tuesday between 10am and 2pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Lotus Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

Hope it all works out, Stella. This could happen to any of us. We lost years of savings to something like this so I get it. God bless
