I coordinate donations at Union Women's Shelter in Ciudad de México. Every year around this time we hear from families who have nothing warm for their children, and this year demand has more than doubled.
We're collecting clean, gently used or new coats, boots, hats, gloves and scarves in sizes kids' 3 to 5 and women's S-L. If you're in Ciudad de México, we can arrange a pick-up or you can drop things at Union Women's Shelter on Friday between 9am and 3pm.
If you're elsewhere, you may offer to sponsor a coat through a local shop - message in the comments and we can coordinate.
Items go to families directly and the rest to the Union Women's Shelter clothing bank, which is open to everyone.
I'll keep this page updated with receipts as things happen.

reading this made my day a bit heavier but I'm glad I did. Sent it to 39 people at work. All the best
wishing you the best, Soledad. Hope you get there. All the best.
stay strong, Soledad. I've been in a tough spot myself and it does get easier. Please keep us posted. Blessings.
Hope things get better soon, Soledad. Your post was clear and honest. My late mom used to say help given quietly counts double. Love from Flint.
You're not alone. I was in a similar spot a few years ago and it did get better. I'm in teaching myself and wanted you to know we're cheering for you. Blessings.
